Say goodbye to the 80's Gloworm Wrestling Matches! This little worm lights up with the slightest bit of effort, unlike the one I had 'back in the day' which took a few hostile body-slams in addition to pinning it down to keep the light on. She stays lit up for a fair amount of time and also plays a little tune.

We got this for our 10 month old niece who was fascinated with the lights, and also enjoyed gumming about it's soft rubber-like face. It's a great toy we all remember and it's nice to see it's made a comeback with some child-friendly upgrades.

They are much shorter than the one I had, but then again, I've grown 3 feet since that time.

My daughter LOVES her gloworm! When you push her tummy (the little patch) it's little face lights up and it sings 3 different soothing songs. My little problem with this gloworm is that once the song is finished, the face fades out and it's done (usually that's about 30 seconds in duration). It has different modes that you can use a switch in the back to change it to-one is the demo mode-which is obviously for when it's in the store, one is the lights only mode-which lights up the face with no music, and the one does both music and lights up the face. The reason I give it 3 stars and not higher is because I was hoping there would be a mode that let you set the music/lights to longer than one song without repressing the tummy, but that is not an option. Overall, my daughter still likes it, but it would be nice to be able to push it and let it run a little longer while she's dozing and wants the music and ambient light, but isn't going to push the button on her own.

The Playskool Lullaby Gloworm is a great toy for lights and music but it DOES NOT have the long-play & short-play as described. It only comes with the options: light, demo & play and the music does not play very long unless you are there to keep pushing the button. I was disappointed in the description listed.
