4.0 out of 5 stars More difficult than the original, January 22, 2010

This review is from: Toy Story Memory Game Educational (Toy)
This game features many of the favorite Toy Story characters such as Buzz, Woody and Zurg, and also lesser-known characters such as Bo-Peep and the Prospector. The overall concept and quality of this game is the same as the original memory game: cardboard cards with printed pictures are matched up in turn. What's different about this game is the complexity of the pictures. Many of the cards do not fit into simple categories such as "ball" or "train." There are pictures of Buzz, Woody, Buzz and Woody flying, Buzz and Woody running, Buzz and Woody standing together, Woody and Jessie standing together, Woody and Jessie with Bullseye standing together, Bullseye standing, Bullseye lying down, etc. The complexity of the pictures makes this game more difficult than the original. It's not enough to remember that there's a "Woody" card here and a "Woody" card there, because they may not match at all. After playing the original Memory game for countless hours, my son was significantly more... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Never has a classic game been ruined this much, September 26, 2010

What a stupid idea. First of all, the cards are very cheap and flimsy. But worst of all, this destroys the classic game. I have nothing against changing things up -- but the game is ruined when Woody, for instance, appears in 75% of the cards. Sometimes he is with the dinosaur, sometimes with the pig, etc. Each picture has a match but the game is harder (and less fun) without the full distinction of characters. This was a really bad idea. But the original game only.

Great memory-builder game for ages 5 and up who love the world of Toy Story. With 72 cards, it's a challenging match game even for adults, and with characters recurring with variations, this memory game keeps everyone engaged. A fun family game.
