1.0 out of 5 stars Total disappointment, August 10, 2010

My 6 year old really wanted this game for her birthday. We played it today and what a total piece of garbage. The gist is that Bullseye's front legs are secured to a base and his back half is spring loaded by a switch on his back near his tail to pop up when enough pressure is placed on the switch. You have to place the saddle as well as a variety of gear onto the saddle hoping his back legs don't buck and knock all of the gear off. First, the saddle is not meant to affix to his back, so from the beginning it is precariously perched on his slick back. A rack is supposed to be placed on the saddle by the youngest player to start the game. The rack also is not supposed to affix to the saddle. Having the youngest (in this case my 3 year old) perch the rack onto the slippery saddle was enough of an exercise in frustration to drive us all crazy and bring her to tears.

The trick is to take turns placing all of the gear onto the saddle without Bullseye's back legs bucking... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointment!!, September 10, 2010

My husband brought this game back for the kids when he was on holidays, and they were super excited to play it! UGH! It was awful! It is SO hard to get the horse's backside locked into position. Pointless to play when you can't even get started! Like another reviewer said... I'm waiting for the tail to break off any moment because you have to push SO hard! And when we did get the backside down, the thing bucked every single time someone put something on it. Wait...I think we got 2 items on it once. And this is on the "easy" setting. We eventually just gave up! Booooo! We can't even return it because it's from another city. :( Look for something else or make sure you are able to return it if you buy it.

So disappointed with this! My kids were so excited about this game, and when it works (about 20% of the time), they really love it. However... Regardless of which skill level you're using, it is near impossible to get the horse's back end down so you can play the game. My children are 4 and 6, and neither of them can do it--it requires an adult. If the game requires an adult to be there every 3 minutes to reset it, what good is it?? I am expecting the horse's tail to break off any day now because of hard I have to press on it. Also, the rack that has all the hooks on it (where all of Woody's equipment is hung) barely sits on the saddle, and half the time, the horse bucks when you try to put it on--you don't even get to put any of the game pieces on the horse. Total piece of crap...especially considering how much it cost. Don't waste your money.
